Don’t panic
So I finally pulled the trigger on starting my own website because despite having many good reasons to do it in the past, I guess at some point since leaving New York I forgot how fragile life can be. I’ve been keeping it pretty hush hush for the past few weeks and pretending to carry on normally, but what I didn’t tell anyone was that a short while ago I noticed a sore lump on the right side of my chest under my right nipple. Went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics to rule out the possibility that it was just some kind of inflammation.
Finished the antibiotics – lump still there, so the doc requisitioned an ultrasound for me cautioning me that it may be cancer but not to worry until the test came back. I guess I could not believe it could happen to me but I guess that’s life for ya. All I can do is stay positive.
So I went to the ultrasound today and after a long test, the scientist seemed fairly confident that although it could have been a cancerous growth that it is was treatable. Will get the final news from the doctor tomorrow, but I think I’m in clear waters now. Is it coincidence that the day of the big news (tomorrow) is the same day as the anniversary of my father’s passing or is someone watching over me from above? Either way I’ll be paying a visit to his monument tomorrow for sure.
So what did I learn? Life is fragile and although some of you who’ve met me know that I tend to put up a hard exterior at times I assure you that I’m not too bad of a guy.
Therefore, I intend to turn this website into a blog for anyone who is interested to get a little bit of a closer look while also sharing with all of you the wonderful people I’ve met in my life who you should really get to know.
I will also be doing something I’m not accustomed to – I will be making my music and lyrics publicly available. Part of the reason for that is because I I recently befriended Aidan Nulman (@anulman on twitter) who is the progenitor of YouPhonics. More on that later, and trust me I only have good things to say about it.
So this is the grand opening and soon I will make this blog prettier and awesomer. If you have any suggestions or help for me I would LOVE to hear it! I will also be adding a link to donate to cancer research at the footer or side soon. If any of you know a good widget to use that’s on the level, let me know and I will throw it up!
Send me your blog addresse and I will add it to my blogroll.
